Covid 19 Crisis - Your support is providing families a lifeline
For years, hunger has been steadily increasing in Pakistan. But over the past two years, the economic catastrophe set off by Covid-19 has affected millions of families who had already been living hand-to-mouth. After relentless waves of the virus in Pakistan, far more have been pushed over the edge.
We work in neglected and underserved communities to change lives forever
Chronic poverty, recurring disasters, and political and economic volatility drive undernutrition and food insecurity in some areas of Pakistan. More than 20 percent of Pakistan’s population is undernourished, and nearly 45 percent of children younger than five years of age are stunted.
We provide regular nutritious cooked meals to families in underserved communities to reduce the financial burden in the short term, empowering them to become free from hunger in the long term.
“He is not a muslim, whose stomach is full while his neighbour goes hungry”
Prophet Muhammad (Peace and blessing be upon him)
Good nutrition is key to improving life chances
Our goal is to provide regular, nutritious meals, so people no longer struggle to feed themselves or their families every day. We feed the most neglected and vulnerable people in underserved communities that are locked in a systemic cycle of poverty in Pakistan.
Providing food can stop preventable illnesses, improve the mental and physical health and wellbeing of those struggling for survival. It gives them a fairer chance in life. Instead of worrying about where the next meal will come from, they can focus on important things like education and work. Consequently, access to regular, nutritious meals helps lift them out of poverty.
